Now that I had been inside the expansive headquarters before, I now had a certain respect for the gigantic building. It had it's own
feeling about it. I wasn’t quite sure yet, but there was something darker about holy than just snatching up native alters. I knew that there
would be dire consequences of asking about those darker activities. No one told me of course that asking questions was a bad thing but
something just told me to follow orders and not to ask questions. I walked into the headquarters and there were three people there
waiting for me. I knew that I wasn't late so they must've been expecting me to be. I recognized all three of the people. They were Captain
Jigumar, Ryuhou, and Sherice. I wondered what kind of training they could possibly put me though.
" Good morning, Kazuma. Well your not late that's a good thing. Anyway, you will be training with these two HOLY members today.
Ryuhou will teach you some combat skills and Sherice here will try to teach you some things. " The captain said with almost no
expression. He then turned and walked off.
" You're with me first Kazuma. " Sherice said somewhat in a happy tone of voice. I wondered if I could ever figure her out.
" Kazuma, report back here in 3 hours for your combat training. Even a idiot like you should be able to do that. Until then goodbye. "
Ryuhou then walked off down the same hall that the captain did.
Sherice took me down a hall in the opposite direction the hall was so wide and decorative that I was impressed.
On the wall there were pictures of each holy member and their name engraved on a plaque on the picture frame. As we walked along I
noticed all of the HOLY members I'd seen before, even Taichibana was on there. I was surprised because after losing his fight with me
he was removed from HOLY. Then at the end there was an empty frame with my name on it. Sherice noticed I took interest in it and
explained a picture of me would be taken at the acceptance party tonight that will be held in my honor. Finally at the end of the hall on
the right side there was a room full of computer consoles. I had never seen or operated one before, they were all right. I am just a idiot.
" Ok, sit down at the console of your choice. " Sherice motioned to me. I took the first seat to the right of entering the room.
" Now what do I do? " I asked innocently. I had no clue of what I was doing.
" Hit the red switch to turn it on. Not literally though. " She said kinda expecting me to actually punch the computer. I turned it on then
it asked my name and age. I told it and it started.
"The computer will start you at the reading and intelligence level of a 5 year old and move upward as you go along. " She kinda laughed
while saying it. I felt like such a moron. I hated school I'd always thought it was boring.
It was amazing how fast I learned the stuff by the end of our two hour session I was up to the level of a ten year old. Which isn’t
much better but still I was proud of myself. Sherice seemed happy that she was a good teacher, even though all she did was sit there
and talk to me about that jerk Ryuhou the whole time. I just kinda went along with it so that I wouldn't offend her. Now that the session
was over I had ten minutes to get to the area where I was before to meet Ryuhou for combat training, though I knew a style of martial
arts and was already strong I was curious to see what the jerk could teach me. I made it just barely in time. Ryuhou walked up just as I
arrived. We then went down another hall to an elevator and went down to a huge arena area.
" Here is where we do our combat training, don't use your alter in here. This is strictly hand to hand combat." he said confidently.
" Hand to hand, you don't stand a chance." That seemed to spark something in him.
" Lets fight! I'm to test your fighting skills so lets go punk! " He seemed really angry.
The fight began, he charged at me with a punch. I easily dodged it but he caught me with a high round house kick from the right
side. I hit the ground and jumped back up. I then took my fighting stance and when he attacked I was able to land three punches easily.
My speed was superior to his. He came at me again throwing several right and left punches with a kick here and there, but then out of
no where he caught me with a sweep and I was on my back again. At this point I was starting to get frustrated but got up again this time
I caught him with several punches to the face which brought him to his knees. The score on the score board was even. I wanted to take
the win so I jumped into the air and was going to do a high flying kick. While I came down though Ryuhou countered with an uppercut
that laid me out. I was extremely pissed now and couldn’t hold back anymore. I released my alter. It took over my arm with a tingling
sensation I screamed as it came out because it sometimes hurts.
" Shockwave of the first Blitz!!!" I yelled as I flied into the air and slammed forward with my arm.
" ZETSUI!! " His alter came out and blocked me easily with it's ribbon like whips. He then used the alter to pummel me easily. I wasn't
about to give up yet.
" Shockwave of the SECOND BLITZ!!!! " I powered up once more and slammed into the alter's ribbon's again this time however they
shattered. I still didn’t have enough momentum to keep going to I stopped to prepare for another attack.
" That's it! Zetsui show him your true form once more. " The alter took a vast transformation turning into a larger, faster, and stronger
weapon.
" Shockwave of the Last Blitz!!! " I started to go but his alter was way to fast and it nailed me knocking me unconscious.
While knocked out I had a dream about the past and how Cougar told me something. He was teaching me the shockwave of the
first blitz and then warned me to never enter the nearby forest because of the animals and an evil Alter thing in there. He said it had a
black arm and a white arm and that it's hair was aflame. I remembered that this thing was the source of all alter's . I decided that
someday I'd go there and get more power. Then I woke up in the infirmary. Ryuhou, the captain, and Cougar were all by the bed.
" I told you he'd be alright Captain. " Ryuhou explained.
" For Ryuhou to have to use his true alter, you must be strong enough. " The Captain seemed happy enough.
" Kazuya is the second fastest person on earth, next to me of course. " Cougar boasted.
" I-I-t's Kazuma.... " I barely was able to talk.
" You're going to be in the hospital for about two or three days, when you get out you'll go on your first HOLY mission. Guess we'll hold
back on your party til your better. " The captain explained.
" K-k-anami... " I was barely able to speak, he must've hit me hard.
" Don't worry Kazuya, Sherice and Mimori will take care of her. Oh and your friend Kimishima will be out sooner than expected. 3 more
days. " Cougar was talking so fast I could barely understand but I nodded and passed out.
During my times of consciousness I wondered what my first mission could be. I hoped that I wouldn't be ordered to hurt any of
the native alters. But something told me that I would have to fight people in the Lost Grounds who are just like I was. I felt bad but the
Idea of being in HOLY and living a good life was just too good of an offer for me to refuse. After my two days of being injured I was as
good as new, and ready to begin my first mission. What it held for me I would've never imagined.
